BACKGROUND
Metro Institute Tech, program is a cluster of subjects linked by common or closely related features of factual content and skills.
MIT syllabuses were prepared by educators who work in sixth form schools, community and teacher-training colleges and the universities. Specialists from the private sector, commerce and industry were also consulted in order to ensure relevance.
MIT examinations were developed after much study and wide-ranging consultation with key constituents including national and international universities in response to recommendations for the development of both secondary and post-secondary examinations to prepare students for both GCE Ordinary and ‘A’ Level examinations.
MIT is therefore designed for students in secondary schools and tertiary institutions;
employed and out of school persons who wish to upgrade their qualifications and skills; students at universities who need to complete foundation courses and other requirements for their academic programs. Persons in the workplace who seek further professional development would also benefit from MIT programs. In order to achieve this goal both teachers and students are intimately involved in the design, piloting, refinement and implementation of all MIT Syllabuses
